Simulation of Information-based Social Networks: Virtual Computational Fields Approach

Proposed interdisciplinary work presents conceptual framework for the simulation of information-based social networks. Some new principles and approaches are introduced. This paper, however, concentrates more on one key aspect, i.e. virtual computational field approach (VCF). In fact, VCF constructs a virtual medium for information and resources exchange between heterogeneous social agents. Social agents are modelled as autonomic, dynamic and intelligent programmed entities using computational intelligence methods. Therefore a novel multi-agent platform is constructed. In summary, proposed conceptual framework gives a new frontier for modelling emergent processes taking place in the modern social networks.
